Welcome to Knox Association of Past Students
New York Chapter

The first attempt to organize an association of Knox Alumni in New York goes back to 1975. A small group of Knox alums headed by the Grahams (Floyd, Peter and Albert), along with Blossom Saunders and Marsha Cunningham-Vernon, came together to form the inaugural Knox Past Students Association here in the New York Metropolitan area. The first president was Peter Graham, with Blossom Saunders, as the first secretary of the organization. During those early years, meetings were held either at the Graham’s home in Brooklyn or at Blossom’s apartment in Manhattan. Other active members during this period, included Ken Williams, Stanley Walters, Jackie Phillips, C. J. Armstrong, Joy Kirby, Gilbert West, Kathy Burke, John Bent, Donavan Mais, Dorothy Carter, Brian Carter, Juliette Peart-Carter, Beverly and George Brooks, Barbara King and Pauline Wiggan-James. Although the association was initially vibrant, it went dormant through the 1980s.
